Connect Your Dots

If you missed the chance to celebrate your inner creative on International Dot Day, Thursday the 15th of September, it’s not too late! You can start by reading The Dot, a book written by Canadian illustrator and author, Peter Hamilton Reynolds, which is what primary school teacher, Terry Shay did when he brought the book to school and began International Dot Day.

The Dot is about a teacher who changes the life of her young student, Vashti, who says she can’t draw by asking her to draw a dot and sign it and then framing it to put on her wall. Celebrate the courage of all the Vashtis you know this weekend, and don’t forget to let out your own Vashti to hang on your wall.
